Brussels Sprouts with Bacon
We roasted brussels sprouts to maintain a crisp outside and soft inside. The trick to roasting brussels sprouts is to season the brussels sprouts with our spice then layer the bacon on top of the brussels sprouts so that the fat coats them. You’ll have fantastic sprouts within 30-minutes flat, and minimal cleanup!
Brussels Sprouts wtih Bacon
1.5 lbs brussels sprouts
2 tbsps extra virgin olive oil
2 tsp Garlic Salt with Parsley
4 slices bacon chopped up
Preheat oven to 425℉.
On a non-stick baking sheet, spread out the brussels sprouts
Drizzle olive oil and sprinkle La Salva Garlic Salt with Parsley spice blend, stir or toss well.
Spread the bacon pieces evenly over the seasoned brussels sprouts.
Roast for 15 minutes on the top rack.
Remove and stir, roasting them for another 10 minutes.
Tip for trimming brussels sprouts: Sometimes the outermost leaves of brussels sprouts can be wilted or too dirty. Slicing off the bottoms about 1/8in will make unwanted leaves fall right off.
Quick cleanup tip: If you’re looking to make this recipe even easier, use parchment paper (or aluminum foil) for simple cleanup.
Flavoring tip: Sprinkle the spice blend gradually and taste as you go to ensure you have enough flavor, but not too much of a good thing!
